Line work... and yes I traced the Reverberator she's sitting on. I cold have used a ruler or eyeballed it, but tracing it was faster and more precise.
For the city scape I used various photos of cities at night time and extracted the lights from the photos in Photoshop. I also colored the lights in a way that fit the color pallet of the image. My friend though I painted each light.. Hell to the no!
Laid down some colors on the Jeltronic Vixen. I also plaid with some space photos for the sky. In this image you can also see the photograph of the Reverberator I traced.
Did a quick sketch of how the logo would look like. My intention was to always have the logo be 3D/
Close ups of the Helmet and body. Each circuit or light is a different layer. I did it that way because I knew I wanted each circuit and light to light up randomly. This file had an ass of layers.
Cleaned up lines for the Logo. It's essentially supposed to be an interdimensional radio that can be tuned in a way that allows you to see other universes on its screen.
I modeled & textured the logo in Sketchup
